How to prepare your first CV: Superyacht crew
|
Tip: Your CV is not written to get you the job, its written for you to get an interview for the job!
- Writing a CV is a difficult task especially when you haven't got any yachting experience - so keep it short.
- Use dot points to make it clear and concise and don't tell your whole life story
- Your crew agent interview will be the most important presentation you do, however you must have a relevant CV.
Important: No spelling mistakes - Current contact details - Professional passport sized photo
Your CV is not an essay. It's one to two pages max where you have the opportunity to raise awareness of your best (relevant) qualities to your future employer. Tell them what they want to hear and what they can expect from hiring you! Its all about what you can do for them.
Great keywords: Hard working, team player, attention to detail, efficient, happy to take instruction, not afraid to ask questions!
